The holidays are right around the corner, and the time for last-minute furniture shopping is upon us. You don't want to be one of those people walking in the night before Thanksgiving, begging for a spare chair--an ottoman--anything to seat more people. Fortunately, The Furniture Mall of Texas has items that are both in stock and able to be taken off the floor, which will make sure you get the furniture you need to avoid disappointment.

Take Me Home Today!

Around our furniture store, you will see tags that say, "Take Me Home Today!". This means what it says, the set you see in front of you can be taken off the floor if you so desire. This is a great way to get the furniture you want without having to worry about it being out of stock or on backorder. It would be best to move quickly, though. The holiday season can be a brutal battle of who gets the furniture first.

Clearance

Furniture with the "Clearance" tags can also be taken off the floor. We have a whole section towards the back of our store offering a selection of our clearance furniture. This is where you will find the best deals throughout our store, and it's a great way to save money on your holiday shopping this year!

Limited Quantities

There are other tags that have a "Limited Quantities" banner above their tags. This means the furniture you are looking at, should be in our warehouses, ready to be shipped out, or picked up--if you'd rather not wait. However, it'd be best to move fast, as they are sure to run out of stock quickly.

In-Stock

In-Stock does not necessarily mean we have an array of furniture in the back of our store, ready to be brought out. Instead, it means the item is readily available in our warehouses but not necessarily on the floor of our store. Check with our home specialists, to see if a specific piece of furniture can be taken off the floor if you are needing of furniture ASAP. Yes, you will have to wait for it to be shipped to you, but unlike other pieces that will need to be manufactured from scratch, this will be a much quicker option.

Why should you be so worried about coming in as soon as you can? If you haven't been furniture shopping in a while, and expect to get your furniture delivered in 2-3 weeks, you may need to reconsider. If delays from COVID-19 were one thing, then the freeze in Texas we experienced earlier this year was another unforeseen circumstance affecting furniture manufacturers across the country. Throw in the six-day-long blockage of the Suez Canal in March, and you have the perfect concoction of furniture taking much longer to be delivered than ever before.

We hope these tips give you a better understanding of what's going on around here and how we work every day to make sure everyone leaves happy with their purchase. We'll see you soon, and happy holidays!
