Today we're going to be talking about one of the most common questions we get asked, and that is, "How often should we change our mattress?" It’s a great question and there are 8 key factors you should consider. Ask yourself these questions and they will inform whether or not you should be considering a new mattress.

8 KEY FACTORS:

1) Are you tossing and turning all night long, or not getting a good night's rest?

2) Are you waking with a lot of aches and pains?

3) Do you feel like you’re sleeping in a hole, or actually rolling off your bed?

4) Do you sleep hot? Most mattress manufactures today have cooling technology in their sleep surfaces.

5) Do you feel that your sleep surface does not provide adequate support?

6) Has your health changed? For example, if your body shape and size has changed dramatically it may require a different sleep surface. If you've lost a lot of weight you might require a softer sleep surface. If you've gained a lot of weight you might require a firmer sleep surface.

7) Do you have the correct sleep technology? There are three main sleep technologies available; traditional inner spring, hybrid mattresses, and all -foam mattresses. Each has benefits and how you sleep will dictate which technology makes the most sense for you.

8) Do you wake because your partner tosses and turns? All -foam mattress eliminate motion transfer.

These key questions should be addressed before purchasing a new mattress. If you answered positively to any of them, it may be time to start shopping for a new mattress.
